Front Office – Full Time

FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic is seeking an energetic team player to join our front office team. Front office associates perform various administrative and clerical tasks required to support clinic services and programs, while providing excellent customer service.  No veterinary experience is necessary but interest and willingness to learn is a must.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet clients and set a positive clinic atmosphere.
  • Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly customer service in-person and by phone.
  • Assist clients with checking into and checking out of clinic.
  • Update and manage patient information.
  • Communicate and administer financial-assistance programs.
  • Assist with scheduling spay/neuter appointments.
  • Assist with reminders and confirmation calls for spay/neuter appointments.
  • Familiarity with clinic services.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Answer the phone, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate departments.
  • Change trash in front office and lobby.
  • General cleaning duties (moping, dusting, etc.).
  • Works cooperatively with all team members.
  • Report to work daily, on time, and ready to work.
  • Other duties as assigned by Service Manager, Front Office Lead, or Business Manager.

Schedule will not exceed 40 hours. Typical workdays for this position may include Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.   Full-time employees receive health/dental insurance and vacation; we also offer uniforms and a 403b.  Please submit your cover letter and resume to Jen Hancock by December 15. eoe

Veterinary Assistant – Full Time

FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic is seeking an energetic team player to join our team. The veterinary assistant provides support to the veterinarians and veterinary technicians in our high-volume clinic, with a focus on assisting with the delivery of high-quality care and ensuring the safety and well-being of the patients in our medical and vaccination clinic.  At least three years of experience working as a veterinary assistant, fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during appointments in medical and vaccine clinic, while adhering to the clinic’s safety and wellness protocols.
    • Prepare exam room.
    • Assist with prioritizing patient flow.
    • Gather medical history.
    • Provide patient restraint during examination using approved techniques.
    • Calm and soothe anxious patients.
    • Gather medication.
    • Discharge patient to front office team.
    • Assist with client communication and follow-up.
    • Clean exam room.
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during treatments.
    • Nail trims, blood draws, ear cleaning, etc.
    • Assist with lab work.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Stock exam rooms.
  • Change trash in exam rooms.
  • General cleaning duties (moping, dusting, etc.).
  • Works cooperatively with all team members.
  • Report to work daily, on time, and ready to work.
  • Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly customer service in-person and by phone.
