Mission and Guiding Principles

FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic (FACE) is Indianapolis’ only high-volume, low-cost animal clinic.  Open six days a week and serving central Indiana, the clinic provides affordable spay/neuter services, along with vaccines and routine preventive care for companion animals and community cats.

Our mission is simple:  end euthanasia of cats and dogs in Indianapolis by offering accessible spay/neuter, vaccination, medical care and community cat care, without financial or geographic restrictions.

Guiding Principles

  • Companion animals are intrinsic to our everyday lives, and are especially vital in times of crisis.  They are a part of who we are and part of our wellbeing.  Establishing services for companion animals and their families, and becoming a no-kill community, will make Indianapolis a happier, healthier city for all residents.
  • Twenty-one percent of Indianapolis residents live in poverty, and fifty-seven percent of residents earn less than $50,000 a year.  We need to provide affordable resources for low and moderate income residents and create a safety net for their companion animals.
  • Empowering people to care for their pets enhances the bond between human and companion animal.  Caring for one’s own pet develops confidence, in the same way that providing for one’s own family does.
